With 500+ research professionals, BI provides company, credit, industry and strategy research across major global markets, covering 135+ industries and 2,000+ companies, including perspectives on company fundamentals as well as government policy, litigation and ESG. Our research and datasets are delivered through curated Terminal dashboards and interactive research decks, with underlying data typically one click away, drawing on proprietary Bloomberg sources and 600+ data contributors. 


What's in it for you:

BI is seeking an Associate to support Senior Strategists in Dubai and London. As a BI Credit Strategy Associate, the right candidate will be interested in credit and structured credit markets, directly support our Credit Strategists in the EMEA region, and be tasked with sourcing, overseeing and generating data and insights based on a mix of fundamental and quantitative approaches. 

You will have a steep learning curve with great exposure to the market experts in Bloomberg Intelligence. The successful candidate will have familiarity with the Microsoft suite of tools, and ideally the Bloomberg terminal. Coding skills, including Python, and knowledge of statistics are also desired. 


We'll trust you to:

  • Contribute to daily research activities including: data analysis, written research, idea generation and client engagement
  • Conceptualize, construct and maintain research dashboards
  • Help to identify, support and maintain critical data and functionality on the Bloomberg terminal
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external constituencies 
  • Interact regularly with clients via our online messaging systems, telephone and client visits
  • Participate in department-wide special projects

You need to have:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in a quantitative field
  • 2+ years of financial market research experience 
  • Strong organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Keen interest in learning about credit markets
  • Ability to model and manage large data sets
  • Proficient Excel skills with attention to detail and high standards in data quality
  • Advanced modeling skills, including strong Python experience
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills, track record of collaboration with team

We'd love to see:

  • Previous work experience with the Bloomberg Terminal
  • Prior experience in using AI in research workflow
  • Data visualization skills (PowerBI, Tableau, QSEN)
