About the role:

As a Business Analyst at Shift, you'll work closely with teams from product, operations, and technology to create and implement scalable solutions that help us achieve our strategic goals. You'll play a key role in defining business requirements, streamlining and documenting processes, and building adaptable frameworks for our fast-paced environment. What you’ll do:

 
  • Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to capture business needs and objectives, translating them into clear specifications

  • Assess risks, impacts, and dependencies across functions, taking proactive action as needed

  • Develop and propose scalable solutions that align with company and enterprise strategies

  • Analyse and document current and future state processes; identify gaps and recommend operational improvements

  • Design and validate customer journeys, processes, and data flows with a focus on business outcomes

  • Partner with technical and operational teams on change management and implementation plans

  • Document system interfaces, data integrations, and ensure requirements traceability

  • Contribute to business cases, including impact assessments and cost/benefit analyses

  • Support project delivery by helping manage timelines, scope, and governance

  • Create and maintain clear project artefacts and documentation

  • Lead workshops and facilitate cross-functional stakeholder alignment

  • Mentor junior analysts and help drive a culture of continuous improvement

  • Define and execute test plans, oversee UAT, and help ensure requirements are met pre-deployment

  • Ensure solutions comply with relevant financial services regulations and support audit and compliance activities

 

What you’ll bring:

 
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst, ideally in operational or financial services environments

  • Proven record of driving analysis for complex projects in fast-paced settings

  • Ability to work across teams and functions

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking—translating business needs into solutions

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills

  • Advanced process documentation and problem-solving skills

  • Self-starter with independence and the ability to juggle competing priorities

  • Experience leading workshops and facilitating group alignment

  • Skills in project management, relationship building, and active listening

  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes without direct authority
