Your responsibilities
Overall responsibility for market development in Southern Switzerland, in particular ensuring continued profitable, above‑average growth of the CH Ticino business
Representing the Lugano branch to clients, partners, authorities, and the public; actively cultivating and expanding a strong network within the Ticino financial centre
Helping to shape the strategic framework for the Swiss market and translating it into the area strategy and business plan for Southern Switzerland
Professional and disciplinary leadership and coaching of relationship managers, and assistants, including fostering a performance‑oriented, appreciative, and inclusive culture that emphasizes collaboration, trust and mutual support
Coordinating the various functions within the Lugano branch
Responsibility for client acquisition and coverage in the Ticino area and ensuring an integrated advisory and service approach through close, efficient cooperation with other markets and internal units (e.g. Financing, Compliance, LGT Capital Partners, etc.)
Developing and implementing a systematic front‑office recruitment strategy to attract, develop and retain talent
Planning, budgeting, and continuous monitoring of target achievement, as well as ensuring adherence to internal guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements; direct reporting line to the Market Head Switzerland
Requirements
Several years of proven leadership experience with line responsibility in private banking, ideally in a comparable role in the Swiss onshore business
Advanced degree in business administration (e.g. university of applied sciences/university) or an equivalent higher professional qualification
Several years of professional experience in the banking sector with a focus on wealth management
Proven track record in building, developing, and positioning a market, as well as in establishing and further developing high‑performing teams
Strong network in the Southern Switzerland region, with an excellent understanding of regional economic structures and relevant networks
In‑depth knowledge of the relevant regulatory framework in the Swiss banking environment and confidence in applying compliance and governance requirements
Confident, open, and self‑reflective manner, strong ability to deal with criticism and a positive mindset, with a visible commitment to LGT values such as long‑term and entrepreneurial thinking, sense of responsibility and partnership‑based collaboration
