We're looking for a commercially minded professional who can help turn scientific expertise into customer-focused services that deliver real value.

As Business Development Manager – Industry Services, you'll work closely with service leaders, scientists and commercial teams to identify opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and support the growth of our Industry Services portfolio. You'll combine market insight, business development and commercial thinking to help shape services that meet industry needs and drive organisational success.

Ngā whāinga matua | What you will be doing

In this role, you will –

• Identify and develop new and existing business opportunities across our Industry Services portfolio.
• Build strong relationships with customers, industry partners and stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs and service performance.
• Help develop business cases, value propositions and growth plans.
• Work with service leaders to improve, grow and optimise service offerings.
• Contribute to a customer-focused and commercially successful approach across Industry Services.

You'll be curious, analytical and motivated by finding opportunities to create value.

You'll bring - 

• Experience in business development, consulting, commercial analysis, service management or a related field.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to translate technical or scientific concepts into compelling customer solutions.
• Commercial and financial acumen, including experience with business cases, pricing or performance analysis.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• The ability to work across teams and bring people together to achieve outcomes.
