MedHealth is seeking a results-driven Business Manager to lead a multidisciplinary allied health team in the Regional WA unit, a full-time onsite role in Osborne Park on a 12-month contract with the possibility to extend. You will coach and develop staff, manage team resourcing and portfolios, oversee recruitment and onboarding, and prepare and monitor the business unit budget to meet KPIs and quality targets. You’ll implement strategies to optimise return to work outcomes and conduct services assessments as needed. Essentials include an Australian recognised degree in OT, rehabilitation counselling, physiotherapy, psychology or exercise physiology, advanced knowledge of Workers Compensation, Rehabilitation and OHS legislation, strategic management and commercial acumen with proven leadership. You must have a current drivers licence, access to your own vehicle and be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance. Job Description

How you’ll be making an impact in people’s lives:

  • Lead, supervise and coach the team so that they undertake work in accordance with divisional priorities, policies and processes.
  • Manage and monitor team resourcing and portfolios at business unit level.
  • Oversee recruitment & selection and on boarding of new team members.
  • Prepare business unit budget for Operations Manager and manage the expenditure within budget and in accordance with delegations
  • Ensure Quality KPI to be met at business unit level
  • Implement strategies to proactively manage RTW performance and ensure the performance of the business unit and Team Leader meets benchmarks for state RTW outcomes
  • Undertake specific services assessments including worksite, functional, ergonomic, equipment, home and job analysis as required.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Australian recognised degree qualification in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Physiotherapy, Psychology or Exercise Physiology
  • Strategic management with demonstrated success in the delivery of occupational rehabilitation services.
  • Commercial acumen to drive business growth, profitability, quality initiatives and marketing activities with sound financial acumen understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop others.
  • Confident in staff recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Workers Compensation, Rehabilitation and Occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Willingness to work in the community (must have drivers licence and access to own vehicle)
  • Current or able to get a Working with Children Check and Police Clearance
