Job Description

We're looking for a proactive Business Support Officer to support our office in North Sydney). This is an on-site role where you will contribute to positive office culture and efficient operations through providing effective management of office administration, facilities and people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the face of Egis to meet and greet visitors and clients, ensuring visibility at reception during business hours and managing incoming phone calls
  • General office management including facility management and organising the repair and maintenance of office assets and equipment  
  • Ensure common areas and meeting rooms are neat and tidy, working closely with IT to ensure IT assets are functioning 
  • Coordinate internal and external deliveries and mail 
  • Provide onboarding to new employees including workplace health and safety induction and security passes 
  • Perform the role of Health & Safety Lead during emergency events, liaising with crisis management team in line with Crisis Management Plan
  • Support Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) activities, collect carbon data for office, and work with our team towards achieving Carbon targets.
  • Support vehicle fleet administration duties
  • Organise and implement internal social events in coordination with the Social Committee within budget
  • Support the coordination of external corporate functions and events
  • Management of office costs within approved budget
  • Assist with expense claims and company credit card reconciliation as required
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation, as required 

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role within the professional services industry. You will be able to commit to being present at our North Sydney office 5 days a week.

In addition, you will also have:

  • Prior experience in similar role, ideally within a professional services or consultancy environment.
  • Polished personal presentation, polite, respectful and professional manner
  • Proficiency with MS Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work proactively within a busy team environment with minimal direction
  • Strong attention to detail
