About the role 
We’re seeking a motivated and customer-focused BYD Consultant to join our Vehicle Sales team at BYD Essendon. You’ll be the face of the BYD brand, guiding customers through the EV buying journey with expert product knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. Your role will be to build strong relationships, understand customer needs, and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations. 
 
What you’ll do 

  • Welcome and engage customers in the showroom, online and over the phone 
  • Conduct test drives and product demonstrations to showcase BYD’s innovative features 
  • Stay up to date with BYD products, EV technology and market trends 
  • Manage the full sales process including finance referrals, trade-ins and delivery coordination 
  • Achieve sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service 
  • Work collaboratively with the dealership team to ensure a seamless experience 

 
What we’re looking for 

  • Experience in automotive sales or a customer-facing role with strong consultative skills 
  • Passion for electric vehicles and emerging automotive technology 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment 
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail 
  • Sales Licence preferred but not mandatory 
  • Valid Drivers licence and Australian Working rights.
