OneSchool Global NZ seeks a compassionate Student Support Assistant to join the Hamilton Campus on a fixed-term, part-time basis (20 hours per week, term time only) through December 2026. Due to an internal movement, we are lucky to have another vacancy arise within our Student Support team and are there for looking for a compassionate and committed teacher aide (Student Support Assistant) to join us at our Hamilton Campus in Eureka. This role will require you to perform regular or occasional personal care duties for the student(s)
This role is a fixed term contract on a part-time basis starting asap until December 2026 (20 hours per week, term time only). The role is reviewed annually, with the possibility of a new fixed-term contract offered for each school year.
Hours: 20 hours per week, 9:30am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday (we can be flexible on hours and days of work for the right candidate)

Skills and Experience:
• Experience supporting younger students with learning challenges and high health needs.
• Experience applying effective strategies and opportunities for learning.
• An understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and of different learning methods.
• A good level of digital competency.
• Ability to cater for a student’s varying needs, including implementation of strategies to support development of communication and learning.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• Patience, resilience, adaptability and empathy.
You will need:
• Eligibility to work in NZ
• Able to provide 2 verbal references
• Able to pass a Police Check
