Captain Waiter/Waitress
AccorAccor, a worldwide hospitality group, is hiring for the Captain Waiter/Waitress role in Dubai, AE. This full-time, onsite position sits on the dining floor of a busy hotel, where you lead service and shape guest experiences. Accor emphasises a culture that supports individuality and ongoing growth, with opportunities to move across brands and properties worldwide.
You’ll be at the heart of frontline service, coordinating a team, maintaining service standards, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects the brand. If you thrive in a hotel environment, enjoy coaching others, and take pride in high-quality guest service, this role could be a fit.

During your shifts, you’ll supervise floor operations, assign duties to team members, and watch performance to keep service level and outlet standards aligned with the Departmental Operations Manual. Your leadership is visible in how the team responds to guests and maintains a positive image in all interactions.
You’ll ensure front and back-of-house areas stay clean and organized, coordinating with Housekeeping and Stewarding to follow cleaning schedules and keep spaces ready for service. Handling guest requests, questions, and complaints with professionalism and discretion will be part of your daily work, too.
Inventory and supplies come under your remit, including regular checks on equipment and stock, plus control over requisitioning and storage procedures. You’ll work closely with Kitchen and Beverage to align on daily operations, quality standards, and promotional activity, and you’ll help enforce strict cash handling and financial controls. Building strong relationships across departments and participating in communications meetings completes the cycle.
On top of these duties, you’ll take on reasonable tasks assigned by the Food and Beverage department, always aiming for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Start your resume with your 3-4 years of experience in a four- to five-star hotel and call out any time you led a dining team on the floor, with a note on how you kept service quality high.
In your examples, show how you meet the must-haves by describing a real situation where you assigned tasks, tracked performance, and coordinated with Kitchen and Beverage to maintain standards.
Prepare for interviews by sharing a concise story about handling a guest complaint with discretion and professionalism, and by explaining how you supported cash handling and financial controls during a busy shift.
Ask about CSR efforts and growth paths, for instance Planet 21 activities or opportunities to attend Accor Academies, to understand how you could build a longer-term career across the brand.
