Summerset is seeking a full time Caregiver for the night shift at Palms Village in Napier. This onsite role offers 60 to 80 hours per fortnight on a 4 nights on, 2 days off roster, with weekend penal rates and opportunities for career progression. You’ll deliver meals, assist with hygiene, support residents under their Individual Care Plans, and help with activities, all within a collaborative team focused on safety and wellbeing. The ideal candidate is empathetic, patient, and experienced in aged care, with strong communication and roster flexibility across mornings, afternoons and nights. Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset Palms Village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a full time role working the night shift on 60 - 80 hours per fortnight on a 4 nights on, 2 days off roster.

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off
