AGA is partnering with a top builder to offer a full-time carpentry apprenticeship for 2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentices in Alphington, with a Monday to Friday roster and a path to Certificate III in Carpentry. You'll support experienced carpenters in framing, cladding and fit-out while learning to read drawings, use tools safely and uphold health and safety on site. The ideal candidate has a current driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel between sites, a White Card, and a proactive, eager-to-learn attitude; prior industry experience is a plus. As an apprentice, you will be provided ongoing support throughout your journey and be empowered to thrive. Working a Monday to Friday roster, this full-time role will see the successful Apprentices build their career from the ground up, completing tasks that set them up for success within the industry while completing a Certificate III in Carpentry.

What you will be doing

• Assist experienced carpenters in the construction and installation of various woodwork elements, such as framing, lock-up, fixing, cladding, metal framing.
• Learn how to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Gain practical experience in the safe use of power tools and hand tools
• Participate in regular training and development to enhance your carpentry knowledge and skills
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Complete other tasks as directed

What we are looking for

• Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle with the ability to travel between sites as required (Altona, Bellfield, Alphington and Epping)
• Hold a White Card
• Someone that is confident, productive, proactive and eager to learn
• Experience with industry (desirable)
