The Y NSW Wamberal OSHC is seeking casual OSHC Educators to deliver fun, age-appropriate activities in a relaxed coastal setting, building strong relationships with children and families and supporting a safe, inclusive environment. You’ll supervise wellbeing, set up resources, contribute to daily programs, and collaborate with the team, aligned to the National Quality Framework and safeguarding requirements. We value energy, positivity, reliability and teamwork, and a genuine love of working with children. Essential: WWCC, current First Aid including HLTAID012, CPR HLTAID009, and National Child Safety Training; willingness to obtain. The Y Wamberal OSHC offers a relaxed yet enriching Out of School Hours Care experience within a coastal community setting. Catering for Before School, After School and Vacation Care, the Centre provides children with a safe and engaging place to learn, play and connect.

Wamberal OSHC values balance, incorporating energetic outdoor play alongside creative and mindful activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests at their own pace, supporting confidence, resilience and positive relationships in a warm and inclusive environment.

👧👦 What You'll Be Doing

As an Introductory / Developing OSHC Educator, you'll support our experienced team to:

  • Deliver fun, age-appropriate activities and experiences
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment
  • Actively supervise children and support their wellbeing
  • Set up and pack down equipment and resources
  • Contribute to educational programs and daily activities
  • Work collaboratively with your team and school communities
  • Support quality practices aligned with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and safeguarding requirements.

🎓 Essential Requirements

You will have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current First Aid qualification including HLTAID012 Provide an Emergency Response in an Education and Care Setting)
  • Current HLTAID009 CPR qualification
  • National Child Safety Training (Geccko)
