We’re looking for a Category Management – Client Lead

We are seeking a highly capable professional to strengthen our client’s category management capability and ensure teams are equipped to use customer data‑driven tools with confidence and precision.  We are looking for someone who can lift capability, champion our tools and frameworks, and provide the guidance and support teams need to embed best‑practice category management.  You will be the go‑to expert for data tools and the frameworks that underpin effective category decision‑making, acting as a trusted advisor, technical expert, and capability builder who helps teams make stronger, customer data‑driven decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary expert for dh tools, Power BI dashboards, and category management frameworks across the client.
  • Support teams to adopt and use tools effectively, ensuring both technical proficiency and confidence
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, issue resolution, and practical support to client teams
  • Embed key category management frameworks into business processes and decision‑making
  • Translate customer insights into clear, compelling stories with key outtakes, recommendations, and actions that drive positive category outcomes
  • Deliver structured training, coaching, and guidance to uplift capability across functions
  • Contribute to major initiatives and projects
  • Oversee user setup, troubleshooting, communications, and usage reporting to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations

 

Who you are and what you bring

  • Experience in Category Management approaches in retail and/or manufacturer contexts
  • Experience with retail/FMCG industry
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in a Customer Insight based role including data analysis and recommendation development
  • A strong relationship builder who connects easily with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Confident working with data, tools, and analytical frameworks, and able to translate complexity into clear, practical guidance.
  • Adept at distilling customer insights into meaningful narratives that highlight key opportunities and guide category actions
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
  • Equipped with strong analytical capability and a solutions‑focused mindset.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to influence, coach, and support diverse teams.
  • Passionate about enabling others, driving adoption, and lifting organisational capability.
