As Category Manager, you’ll own the end-to-end performance of your category—maximising sales, profit, and customer value. You’ll be the bridge between customers, suppliers, and our business, ensuring our range hits the mark for relevance, quality, and innovation. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Deliver commercial results – Manage sales, gross profit, and trade partner support to budget, driving profitable growth across all channels. 
  • Shape the range – Plan and optimise the product assortment, from new product development to private brand creation, ensuring it meets market trends and customer needs. 
  • Lead strategy – Develop and execute a clear category plan, aligning with SCA’s strategic objectives and delivering a compelling offer. 
  • Maximise promotions & pricing – Build high-performing promotional programs and pricing strategies backed by competitor insights and data analysis. 
  • Drive partnerships – Build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with trade partners, global sourcing teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver results. 
  • Deliver operational excellence – Ensure compliance, maintain high quality standards, and keep cross-functional teams aligned and informed. 

What you’ll bring 

  • Proven retail category management, merchandise, or buying experience (automotive or related industry preferred but not essential). 
  • Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute strategic category initiatives. 
  • Experience in managing product lifecycles and developing new ranges 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
