Qantas is seeking a Category Procurement Specialist to join the Commercial Procurement team in Melbourne, a permanent onsite role based at Jetstar HQ. You will lead and support strategic sourcing across key Commercial spend areas such as lounges, contact centres, corporate services and marketing, partnering with Category Managers and stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies, run end-to-end sourcing events, manage supplier risk and contract lifecycle, and deliver savings, value and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in strategic sourcing or category management, a tertiary qualification (CIPS desirable), strong negotiation and stakeholder management, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and ERP/eProcurement tools, with a commercial mindset focused on broader value beyond cost. The Opportunity
As a Category Procurement Specialist within the Commercial Procurement team, you will lead and support strategic sourcing across key Commercial spend areas including lounges, contact centres, corporate services and marketing. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies, deliver competitive commercial outcomes and ensure supplier performance aligns with operational and business needs. You will also lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal value, performance and risk outcomes for the Group.
