Position Overview
Work with members of construction team to ensure smooth operations of daily paving on each job. Performs wide responsibilities associated with lay down of asphalt. The Shelly Company needs multiple Experienced Asphalt Crew Members. Ideally, the selected candidates would have a class A or B CDL and/or Screed experience in the Asphalt industry. Candidates must be willing to travel, work flexible and varied hours, and join the laborer’s union immediately.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
CDL
A Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement is preferred.
Education and Experience
Less than or equal to a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Personal Protective Equipment
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position: Welding Gloves, Hard Hat, Hearing Protection, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, use of Seatbelt and harnesses when required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
