CEO, Lyra Technology Group

Lyra Technology Group is seeking a first-time CEO who is ready to step up and drive organic EBITDA growth and recurring revenue at a small operating company. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment, makes smart trade-off decisions between growth and profitability, and inspires high-performing teams.

What Sets Us Apart:

  1. Buy and Hold Strategy: Unlike typical private equity investments with a 3-5 year exit horizon, we invest for the long term. We believe deeply in the value of our companies and support them to grow.
  2. Autonomous Management: We acquire companies because they are already successful. Rather than consolidating them into a single platform, we empower each business to maintain its team, culture, and brand.
  3. Scalability with Small-Company Feel: We enjoy the best of both worlds—small company agility paired with big-business resources. We leverage our collective scale for strategic partnerships, peer insight, and shared best-in-class support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to hit financial targets, monitor performance, and make disciplined, ROI-driven decisions.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, client relationship management, and building a high-performing sales and marketing team.
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate a results-oriented team. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Streamline processes, ensure compliance, and maintain a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Ground priorities and growth initiatives in data, tracking key metrics across new customers, retention, pricing, and cross-sell/upsell.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA a plus)
  • Proven track record of revenue generation on a limited budget, with a focus on new logo acquisition
  • Strong P&L management and financial budgeting experience
  • Background in people management including hiring, development, and performance management
  • Experience in SMB general management or senior leadership (MSP, SaaS or services experience a plus)
  • Resourceful, scrappy, and willing to roll up sleeves on both strategic and day-to-day challenges
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with, learn from, and share perspectives with a community of peer executives across our portfolio. This group includes ambitious first-time senior leaders, entrepreneurs who have built companies over decades, and seasoned operators with deep industry and functional expertise.
