An experienced CNA is needed for a per diem Hospice home visits role with BAYADA Home Health Care, covering Bucks, Montgomery and Northeast Philadelphia. This visiting position requires reliable transportation and offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, short commutes, and 24/7 on call support. You will join a team providing home care and nursing to help clients stay at home. Responsibilities include activities of daily living, light housekeeping, bathing, grooming, transfers, ROM exercises, vital signs, medication assistance and meal preparation. Requirements: at least one year of HHA experience, completed HHA training and certification, English literacy, passing the BAYADA Competency Evaluation, and state checks. Jefferson Hospice at Home by BAYADA is currently seeking an experienced CNA for a per diem opportunity to complete home care visits to clients located throughout Bucks, Montgomery, and Northeast Philadelphia. Please note that this is a visiting position and reliable transportation is required.

 

As a CNA, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides home health aide, skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Each Home Health Aide must:

  • Have at least one year of work experience as a Home Health Aide
  • Have successfully completed a recognized Home Health Aide training course and be certified to work as a Home Health Aide
  • Demonstrate an ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
  • Pass the BAYADA Competency Evaluation Examination
  • Have a criminal background check completed
  • Meet all state requirements

Job Responsibilities for HHA – Home Health Aides:

  • Activities of daily living  
  • Light housekeeping  
  • Bathing  
  • Grooming  
  • Toileting 
  • Nail care  
  • Range of motion / exercises  
  • Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices  
  • Oral feeding  
  • Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration  
  • Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.  
  • Assisting with ambulation  
  • Medication assistance
