Our Danfoss Power Solutions in Easley is seeking to hire an experienced Change Agent, Continuous Improvement to support our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing plans for, and executing, process improvements that result in increased productivity and quality. The CI Engineer possesses leadership ability and communicates effectively.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Generate process improvement projects and develop project timelines for implementation.
  • Manage quarterly Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs) for CI projects.
  • Lead kaizen events.
  • Assist with root cause problem solving activities in all areas.
  • Assist in the development on 5S, kanban and other lean systems.
  • Coach and train others in lean and continuous improvement tools.
  • Report metrics related to productivity and process improvements.
  • Use statistical methods to analyze data for problem solving.
  • Create and/or modify standard operating procedures, work instructions, and graphical operations sheets.
  • Participate in establishing departmental goals relative to labor utilization and department efficiency.
  • Conduct audits to ensure improvements are maintained.
  • Be knowledgeable in all areas of Operations.
  • Assist with new processes and maintaining current processes including poke-yoke fixtures and tools.
  • Assist with process flow diagrams, time studies, process FMEAs, capability studies and control plans in support of new product releases, cost reductions and product modifications.
  • Create business cases for capital expenditures.

What We're Looking For

 

  • BS degree in Engineering.
  • 3 – 5 years of proven related work history in continuous improvement positions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse groups.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Possess good organization and time management skills.
