The Warehouse Group is hiring a Checkout Team Member for The Warehouse in Dunedin South. This full-time onsite role runs Sunday to Thursday from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am. You’ll be the friendly face at self checkouts, delivering fast service, helping customers bag purchases, and guiding them to the next available till while staying calm. You’ll also support the loss prevention team and keep the area tidy and stocked. About you: customer facing experience helps but isn’t essential; strong communication, a positive can-learn attitude, and stamina to stand long shifts. Often serving as the last point of contact, you'll be helping our customers through our self checkouts. Whether it providing them with speedy service or helping them pack their bags. You'll have the patience and resilience to handle even the most challenging situations easily, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. As a mobile member of the team, you'll be quick on your feet, guiding customers to the next available checkout and responding to their needs with precision and efficiency.
You'll also be an integral part in assisting our loss prevention team, bringing concerns to their attention and ensuring the area is always customer-ready, with bags stocked and areas tidy.

Having experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial, but it's not essential. Good communication skills are essential, and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn is a must. Additionally, you should be comfortable standing for long periods.
