Arvida Group Limited invites applications for a part-time Chef/Cook based in Havelock North, serving in the cafe from 8:00am to 2:30pm, with potential extra shifts in the main kitchen, to prepare quality meals that meet residents’ needs and our Food Control Plan. You’ll blend cooking with resident interaction, supporting our Eating Well approach. Key requirements are prior commercial kitchen or cafe experience, exceptional cooking and baking skills, strong food hygiene, clear communication, flexibility under pressure, empathy for older adults, integrity, and a current NZ Food Safety Certificate. Our Chef/Cook plays a vital role in the wellbeing of our residents by providing high-quality, safe, and appetising meals that meet our resident’s individual nutrition needs.
Duties are varied, active, and stimulating with lots of personal interaction. You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen service, maintain compliance with our Food Control Plan, and collaborate with others in the kitchen team to deliver a first-class and nutritious experience for our residents.
