The Yamanto Tavern is looking for a dedicated and professional Full-Time Qualified Chef to join our busy kitchen team. We are a high-volume venue, so previous experience in a fast-paced bistro environment is highly regarded.

We are seeking a trade-qualified professional with a strong work ethic who takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality meals. You must be a team player with full availability to work a rotating roster across days, nights, weekends and public holidays. A day in the life of a Chef:

• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high quality dishes that “WOW” our guests
• Contribute positively to our culture which is centred around safety and hygiene, keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything you do
• Maintain a consistent standard of high quality and well presented dishes that align with the ALH standard

Qualifications

About you:

• You have great experience working in a fast paced kitchen and hold necessary trade cooking qualifications
• You understand that the recipe for an exceptional guest experience contains the perfect mix of passion, precision and productivity
• Strong organisation and communication skills to create the best possible outcomes for our guests and the team
• You’ll be yourself and come as you are - ALH is known for its people

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
