Chief Financial Officer | Multi-sites (Dubai, Sierra Leone and USA)

Position Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the Global CFO of the Gerald Group and the CEO or designated

executive of the mine.

The incumbent will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the overall financial

strategy, management, and performance of the company and its subsidiaries commensurate with the title of CFO.

This role requires a deep understanding of mining and metals, management accounting, financing, systems, and

regulatory factors that influence the mine's Group of companies. The CFO will manage all elements of the

financial statements for all group companies, which includes the Mines in Sierra Leone and other

subsidiaries in Dubai. It is vital that the CFO is comfortable with project finance, public company / IFRS reporting,

credit analysis, policies and procedures, human resources, ERP systems, legal frameworks, and so forth.

The CFO will be required to interface with all executives and management within Dubai, the Entire Group as a

whole, and especially the heads of department in Sierra Leone.


Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies:

o Lead the development and execution of long-term financial plans, budgeting, forecasting, and

capital allocation strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives and driving sustainable growth in the consolidated entity, which means in country as well as

Dubai.

Lead negotiations on complex capital structures: Drive negotiations on key terms and structures of

financing including project financing, mezzanine debt and equity capital in the Group of companies.

Oversee all financial operations: Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, managing financial

reporting, internal controls, risk management, and compliance with all relevant regulations.



Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree

preferred.

Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) are required.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the mining, natural

resources, or heavy industry sectors.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage teams from a distance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the Board,

investors, and other stakeholders.

Ability to work away from the office for multiple weeks at a time in Africa and more specifically Sierra Leone

Excellent organizational and analytical skills; highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing

priorities.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills across diverse internal teams and external stakeholders.

Highly proficient in written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate technical and

strategic issues clearly.

Self-starter with a proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to leadership and problem-solving.
