Ema is seeking a Chief of Staff to the COO to architect an AI-first operating model and scale the business from a fast growth startup to a global category leader. You will design the Scaling Blueprint, run internal ops as a product, and own global GTM, Partnerships, and Special Projects across HR, Finance, Legal, and Compliance. Ideal candidates have 2 to 4 years at McKinsey, BCG, or Bain plus Founder’s Office or Strategy and Ops in a high growth tech company, plus an MBA and an engineering degree from top schools, and a proven track record of building repeatable processes with AI. As Chief of Staff, your primary objective is to institutionalize excellence. You will take the Founders' and COO’s vision for a lean, AI-first organization and turn it into a repeatable "Scaling Blueprint." You will move Ema from a high-growth startup to a global category leader by building the operational connective tissue across EPD (Engineering, Product, Design), GTM (Sales, Marketing, Partnerships), and Internal Functions (HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance).
You are a "Technical Operator"—someone who doesn't just suggest process improvements but builds them using Ema and other AI tools to ensure we operate at the frontier of efficiency.
The Scaling Blueprint: Design and operationalize the frameworks to scale Ema from 10 to 100+ employees globally without losing speed or culture.
AI-First Internal Ops: Act as a "Product Manager" for internal functions. Use Ema’s products and other AI tools to automate Finance, Recruiting, HR, Marketing, etc..
Global GTM & Marketing Ops: Scale Partnership operations globally and lead the charge on high-stakes events, analyst engagement (Gartner/Forrester), market research and helping the COO manage multiple marketing functions.
Special Projects: Own high-impact "Zero-to-One" initiatives directly for the COO - e.g., investor relations support, compliance, the management of our London hub etc.
2–4 years at a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain).
MBA and an engineering degree from top tier schools.
Proven experience in a Founder’s Office or Strategy & Ops role within a high-growth tech environment. You know how to build in the "messy middle" of scaling.
You have a "Product Mindset" and can vibe code—using AI to build tools, scripts, and automations to solve operational bottlenecks.
You are a "low ego, high impact" leader who can pivot from board decks to office management in minutes.
Comfortable managing across time zones; a relentless owner who thrives in ambiguity.
