You will manage interfaces among project, Operations and contractors, monitor progress, and oversee critical tie‑ins and plant shutdowns. Requirements include a relevant trade qualification, Field Safety Management training is well regarded, 5+ years in civil/earthworks leadership and 15+ years total experience with contractor management. Our Waihi Operation in the North Island of New Zealand is an underground gold mine. A recent consent for the Waihi North Project, a new mine to be developed 6km north of the existing operation has provided a long-term extension of mine life providing our 400 staff and contractors, and the people of Waihi, an assurance that we plan to be here for the long-term.
A Civil Construction Supervisor is now required as we continue to advance the construction phase of the Waihi North Project (WNP). The purpose of the role is to mentor and monitor construction work groups to ensure compliance with WNP HSE Policies and Procedures; coordinate site construction activities to minimize their effect on Operations; ensure construction activities are completed to scope, on time and within budget; ensure project reporting is carried out as per the requirements of the Project Manager.
