Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing   

• Lead or support civil engineering delivery across renewable generation projects, from detailed design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage and coordinate external design consultants across multiple disciplines (civil, geotech, structural, services), ensuring designs meet project requirements and integrate smoothly.
• Prepare tender and contract documentation, participate in evaluation and negotiation, and compile technical specifications and principal’s requirements.
• Provide civil engineering leadership on site — resolving issues, supporting construction teams, and acting as Principal’s Representative or supporting the Engineer’s Representative where required.
• Work closely with Environmental and Sustainability Specialists to ensure projects minimise carbon impact and comply with resource consent conditions.
• Support cost estimation, programme development, and early‑stage project options, including inputs to resource consent applications.

Ngā pukenga kei a koe mō tenei tūranga | What you’ll bring

• A Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent Washington Accord qualification) and proven experience delivering multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical capability across general civil engineering, ideally with experience in geotechnical discipline.
• Experience preparing and administering consultancy and physical works contracts, with confidence navigating tendering and commercial discussions.
• Practical site‑based experience, with the ability to identify risks, resolve construction challenges, and maintain steady, sound judgement.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with contractors, consultants, councils, Iwi, landowners, and other stakeholders.
• A collaborative, self‑directed working style — someone who speaks up when something doesn’t look right and is committed to delivering sustainable, environmentally responsible outcomes.
