Severn Trent is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join its Plug & Play team in Coventry. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on standardised civil and structural solutions for major infrastructure, with emphasis on foundations, slabs and modular assets. You’ll lead designs from concept through detailed design, perform calculations and design assurance under Eurocodes and UK standards, and collaborate with teams to deliver safe, buildable and cost‑effective solutions on the project. Essential: a civil or structural engineering degree, strong experience in foundations and slabs, plus proficiency with design tools. We are looking for a Civil/Structural Design Engineer with strong experience in foundations, slabs, and structural systems to join our innovative Plug & Play team.
This is a design-led role where you will help develop standardised, repeatable structural solutions for major infrastructure projects, supporting one of the UK’s largest capital investment programmes.
You’ll play a key role in shaping how we design and deliver assets smarter, faster, and more efficiently, ensuring structural solutions are robust, buildable, and cost-effective.

You’ll be ensuring that appropriate civils and structural advice is provided to the project team so that the standard solution has an effective handshake between Severn Trent Product Team and Site Design Teams to enable proper installation of products on site!
