Canadian Natural Resources is offering a Civil/Structural Engineering Student role in the Oil Sands Projects team, based in Calgary or Fort McMurray, for eight or twelve months starting January or May. You will work with professional engineers on design and construction of oil sands facilities, perform design calculations and finite element analyses, and participate in documentation and reviews, gaining real industry insight in Bitumen Production, Upgrading and Utilities. The role is safety sensitive and requires current enrollment in a Civil Engineering bachelor’s program; assets include CAD and structural analysis tools like S-Frame, plus strong communication. As a Civil/Structural Engineering Student within our Oil Sands Projects team, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of engineering principles and gain valuable hands-on experience by solving engineering and design problems for our world-class mining operations. You will be working in our Oil Sands Projects group in one of the following areas: Bitumen Production, Primary Upgrading, Secondary Upgrading, Support Units, Utilities and Off-Sites, Froth Treatment or Tailings.
