Job Description

We’re looking for a Claims Consultant to join our Group Protection team, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering fair and positive outcomes for our customers. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting individuals and employers through the claims process, while working in a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and experiences.

What you'll be doing:

• Validating and assessing Group Protection claims against policy terms and conditions
• Gathering and requesting medical evidence for new and existing claims in line with agreed approaches
• Calculating claim benefits accurately and in a timely manner
• Managing and progressing claim requirements with internal teams and external customers
• Building strong relationships with intermediaries and employer clients to support positive outcomes
• Investigating claims thoroughly to determine eligibility and ensure fair decisions
• Meeting service level agreements while delivering a high standard of customer experience
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting team and business projects

Who we're looking for:

• Ability to take ownership of customer queries and resolve issues effectively
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience in customer service and/or administration, ideally within insurance or financial services
• Analytical mindset with strong problem solving and investigative skills
