Job Purpose

We are looking for a Class 3 Driver to come and join team Herc. The successful candidate will be able to transport, deliver and retrieve assorted construction equipment in a professional, safe and timely manner. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 7am - 4pm.

What you will do...

• Loading, unloading and securing the equipment.
• Local hauling of equipment and supplies.
• Perform daily commercial vehicle inspection with completion of necessary repairs to vehicle to ensure operational safety.
• Learn and demonstrate Customer Service Standards for delivery service.
• Accurately obtain required signatures on rental contracts, pick up and exchange forms.
• Demonstration of proper and safe equipment usage to customers at point of delivery.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager or authorized personnel.
• Complete inspection reports for outgoing and returned equipment, completing log book and trip sheets meeting all Transport Canada and company record keeping requirements.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid class 3 license
• MUST have 3 years’ experience hauling heavy equipment such as aerial lifts
• Ability to load and offload heavy equipment.
• Experience using electronic logs.
• A recent commercial driver’s abstract will be required
• Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites, facilities and other Herc Rentals related facilities.
