Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a full-time Climbing Arborist in South Londonderry VT to prune and remove trees, trim deadwood, install cables and lightning protection, and remove hazardous trees, all while using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems as part of a safety oriented crew. You will maintain tools and operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts, and support ground crews on site. Requirements include a valid driver’s license and proven tree climbing experience; forestry, horticulture or landscaping background is preferred. Onboarding includes Davey orientation and safety training; licenses such as pesticide, CDL may be available. Compensation Data

Salary: $24 - $32 hourly (Depending on experience, certifications and licensing)

Position Overview

Trim and remove trees, remove unwanted, diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas by performing the following duties. 

Job Duties

What You’ll Do: 

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems. 
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader. 
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients. 
•  Including but not limited to:  
• Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy 
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems  
• Removal of hazardous trees 
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking: 

• Love of the outdoors 
• Required: Valid driver's license
• Required: Previous tree climbing experience 
• Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights 
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire 
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide, DOT, CDL and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
