This Clinic Manager role at NMC Healthcare oversees the Orthoplus Bone and Joint Centre, Al Ain, ensuring smooth operation and integrated clinical programs across Quality, Facility Management, HR, IT and more, while delivering patient centered care, controlling costs, and meeting DOH, FANR and OSHMS requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the assigned Healthcare Facility, including management of the related resources associated with the Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain operations

    1. Provides management oversight for the development of high quality, cost-effective and integrated clinical programs within the Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain.

    2. Exercises management responsibility over the Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public and staff

    3. Attends to, manages, and resolves patient complaints to the satisfaction of all parties involved

    4. Assists in HIS implementation

    5. Member of the Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain committee and participates with the leaders of the governing body, management, and medical staff in development of the center plans, programs, and policies

    6. Develops and fosters effective collaboration between clinical departments, divisions, medical staff leadership, faculty, and other affiliated services (internal/external) to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling the center's clinical, research and educational goals and objectives

    7. Responsible for the smooth functioning of Quality, Facility Management, Marketing, HR, Accounts, Stores, Insurance, Medical Records, Receptions, Logistics, Contracts, Biomedical, Customer Care, Corporate Relations, Housekeeping, Security, Laundry & IT

    8. Oversees major workforce and resource decisions for the center

    9. Works through the management team and medical leadership of the Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyze, and utilize information to develop and support management decisions

    10. Accountable for the overall success of operations of the Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain, to lead and oversee the development of operating and strategic plans

    11. Attends to system development, quality, fiscal management, compliance and clinical management measures, physician relationships, work culture enhancement, internal communication, and consensus-building

    12. Manages clinical employees in accordance with the facility policies utilizing sound principles of practice and fairness

    13. Reviews clinical employee performance as evaluated by their respective managers, ensuring that reviews occur as scheduled/annually for each employee

    14. Reviews and approves the disciplinary action and/or discharge of clinical/nonclinical employees

    15. Ensures compliance with DOH, FANR, and OSHMS requirements

    16. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein, as may be assigned or delegated by the General Manager.

GENERAL OSH ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. The ultimate responsibility for OSHMS within the facility of Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain

  2. Delegation and communication of various OSH roles and responsibilities

  3. Approves and Endorses all Orthoplus Bone & Joint Centre, Al Ain policies and procedures

  4. Comply with all OSH and infection control policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with facility management to comply those requirements

  5. Work in accordance with the documented OSH procedures and instructions, specific responsibilities 

  6. Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures

  7. Notifying OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues and assistance with the preparation of risk assessments and incident reports

  8. Comply with Waste management procedures and policies

  9. Attend applicable OSH/Infection control training programs, mock drills and awareness programs

  10. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems

OSH ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVE

  1. Ensuring that the OSH management system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with Federal, Local, OSHAD-SF and DoH OSHMS requirements 

  2. Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and other requirements and   including regulatory tracking. Allocate responsibility of OSH management and           delegation of authority

Ensuring that reports on the performance of the OSH management system are  presented to top management for review and used as a basis for improvement of the OSH management system

QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL SKILLS

  1. Masters in Public Health or Business Administration or any equivalent Degree

  2. Minimum 5 years of Experience in Hospital Operations/Administration

Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential
