Capita is hiring a Clinical Assessor/Functional Specialist in Belfast for full time hybrid work, with 3 days on site and up to 2 at home, 8am to 5pm, no weekend shifts, and a starting salary of £39,500 rising to £40,500 after DfC approval, plus a 10% quality and performance bonus and a strong benefits package. You’ll conduct structured assessments, produce 3,000 to 4,000 word reports, and provide clear clinical justification to support DfC decisions, with up to three assessments per day. About Capita HAAS
Capita delivers the Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) on behalf of the government, supporting individuals applying for benefits including Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and Universal Credit (UC).
Security and compliance
Successful candidates will be required to successfully complete government baseline personnel security standard vetting. This is the recognised standard for the pre-employment screening of individuals with access to government asset.
This role is defined as regulated activity relating to children or vulnerable adults within the meaning of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. At vetting, you will undergo an enhanced criminality check which will show both spent and unspent convictions.
