At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay & Kimpton Sevn Dubai, we are seeking a Cluster Security Manager to lead and elevate all aspects of safety, security, risk management, and emergency preparedness across two distinctive luxury and lifestyle hospitality brands.

This role is designed for a highly vigilant, operationally disciplined, and people-focused leader who understands that exceptional guest experiences are built upon environments where guests, residents, colleagues, assets, and reputations are protected through proactive security leadership, effective risk mitigation, and world-class safety standards.

You will define how security operations support business continuity, guest confidence, colleague wellbeing, and asset protection—ensuring every aspect of the operation is safeguarded through prevention, preparedness, and professional response.

You will lead, train, and empower security teams across both properties while working closely with Operations, Human Resources, Engineering, Finance, Residences, and Corporate Security stakeholders.

From physical security and investigations to emergency response planning and regulatory compliance, you will ensure every aspect of the operation is protected through robust security systems, proactive risk management, and highly trained teams.

The Gig

Reporting to the Hotel Manager & Cluster General Manager, the Cluster Security Manager will oversee all security and safety operations for InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay and Kimpton Sevn Dubai.

You will be accountable for security operations, investigations, emergency response readiness, life safety compliance, team performance, and asset protection across the cluster.

Your Day-to-Day

No two days are the same; your responsibilities will span a range of operational and leadership activities, including but not limited to:

Security Leadership & Standards

• Develop and implement cluster-wide security policies, procedures, and operating standards

• Ensure compliance with local laws, fire and life safety regulations, and brand security requirements

• Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability reviews

• Maintain security standards aligned with luxury hospitality expectations

Safety, Risk Management & Loss Prevention

• Lead asset protection and loss prevention initiatives across both properties

• Monitor security incidents, investigate cases, and implement corrective actions

• Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Maintain robust access control, key management, and surveillance procedures

Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management

• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and crisis management procedures

• Lead emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and preparedness training

• Coordinate incident response for emergencies, accidents, and security threats

• Ensure readiness of all life safety systems and emergency equipment

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop security teams across both properties

• Build a culture of professionalism, vigilance, accountability, and service excellence

• Conduct ongoing training in security operations, investigations, emergency response, and conflict management

• Ensure adequate staffing and deployment strategies to support operational requirements

Guest, Resident & Colleague Protection

• Ensure a visible yet guest-friendly security presence throughout the properties

• Support VIP arrivals, special events, and high-profile guest requirements

• Manage colleague safety initiatives and workplace security programs

• Address security concerns promptly and professionally

Pre-Opening Security Excellence (Kimpton Sevn Dubai)

• Recruit and train the security team for pre-opening operations

• Establish security infrastructure, SOPs, emergency procedures, and control systems

• Conduct security risk assessments during pre-opening phases

• Support testing, commissioning, and operational readiness exercises prior to opening

Security Systems & Technology

• Oversee CCTV systems, access control systems, intrusion detection, and life safety technologies

• Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of all security equipment

• Analyze security trends and leverage technology to enhance protection measures

• Maintain accurate incident reporting and security documentation

Financial & Operational Control

• Manage departmental budgets and security-related operating expenses

• Control costs while maintaining appropriate levels of protection and compliance

• Optimize security resource deployment and operational efficiency

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Human Resources, Finance, and Residences teams

• Work with local authorities, emergency services, and regulatory agencies

• Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews

• Collaborate on business continuity and crisis management planning

Ideally, you bring some (or all) of the following qualifications and experience

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, Risk Management, or related field preferred

• Professional security certifications are highly desirable

Experience

• 8–12 years of progressive security leadership experience within luxury hospitality, residential, or mixed-use environments

• Experience in multi-property or cluster operations strongly preferred

• Pre-opening experience highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of UAE safety, security, fire life safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
