This co-op Lean Manufacturing role in Seguin, TX combines day-to-day Lean activities with a substantive main project, split 50/50, to support a production Lean team focused on continuous improvement from 5S audits and work instruction updates to data driven time studies and a value stream analysis for the FF1 Ford ECU. You’ll develop skills in Jishuken, Gemba walks, and CT collection while co-leading the VSM for scrap and rework, documenting actions and follow-ups. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or related field, maintaining a 2.5 GPA, with Lean knowledge and strong communication. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship; onsite M-F, 25 hours per week, 7 am to 6 pm. General Information

This position supports the Lean team in daily activities and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within production operations.The role is divided into:General Tasks (50%)Main Project (50%)

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • General Tasks (50%)Support the Lean team in day-to-day activitiesPerform 5S audits following standardsUpdate or create Work InstructionsParticipate in and/or conduct Lean activities such as:JishukensTime StudiesGemba WalksCollect current CT for all ENC production lines to improve outputRequired TrainingLean FundamentalsVSA / VSM
  • Main Project (50%)Scrap/Rework Improvement Plan – Alamo Final AssemblyData collection and analysisDevelopment of improvement planValue Stream Analysis and Mapping – FF1 Ford ECUCo-lead the VSM analysis of the FF1 Ford ECU productPerform all time studies required for the VSMDocument the VSM, including all actionsCo-lead the follow-up of all actions identified during the VSM

 

Your Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalentMust be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semesterIntermediate
  • Knowledge of LEAN practices
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and evaluate standards and procedures
  • Microsoft Office experience preferredMicrosoft Power BI, Automate, and related software preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the company
  • Working schedule: M-F flexible hours between 7am-6pm and 25 minimum total working hours per week
