PRT Growing Services Ltd is hiring a Cold Storage Specialist/Shipper Receiver in Pitt Meadows for a full-time onsite role. You will move stock in and out of cold storage, keep precise records, operate a forklift and electric aisle walker, ship stock to customers, arrange trucks, and monitor inventory at our seedling nursery. Saturdays are required during the June and July harvest and occasional Saturdays in April and May, with other nursery tasks when not shipping. Requirements: valid Class 5 license, power equipment certification or ability to obtain within 2 months, safe work practices, MS Office and data entry skills, customer service under pressure, ability to lift 45 lbs, and all-weather work. Position Summary
The Cold Storage Specialist/ Shipper Receiver is responsible for the movement and storage of stock in cold storage. The selected candidate will be expected to move stock in and out of storage and keep meticulous records. Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to;
This position will require you to be available to work Saturdays during summer Harvest in June and July. As well as the occasional Saturday in April and May as dictated by customer needs. Outside of the shipping Cold storage period (March to end of July) alternative work on the nursery is available.
