Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis I - Bakery to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an entry-level baker, you will assist in the preparation of a wide range of baked goods while learning from experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment.

  • Assist in the preparation and production of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts
  • Measure and weigh ingredients accurately following recipes and instructions
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
  • Follow food safety and hygiene practices at all times
  • Support senior bakers in daily operations and special projects
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of bakery orders
  • Participate in ongoing training to improve baking skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary school training or certificate preferred
  • Food handler's certification required
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and principles
  • Familiarity with bakery equipment and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Basic math skills for measuring and scaling ingredients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
