We’re looking for a kaitohu whakapa/communications advisor to step into a 12 month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, starting as soon as possible.
You'll be joining a busy, friendly Communications and Engagement team who support the strategic direction of Rotorua Lakes Council, working with staff at all levels as well as with external partners and stakeholders. We are a collaborative bunch who support one another and enjoy a laugh.

No two days are the same here, so we’re looking for an experienced communicator who brings fresh ideas, enjoys a challenge, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll be outcomes-driven, able to get the mahi done, and remain calm and focused when things get busy.
You’ll lead our internal communications mahi and support projects across our Community Experience, Parks and Open Spaces portfolios. From time to time, you’ll also take on other communications work and support emergency management communications as needed.
