We're looking for a communications professional to join our Global Trust & Safety Communications team. This role will focus on proactive story-telling, global campaigns, and reactive issue-handling related to online safety and civility. You'll also help think strategically about our approach to transparency and how we can help educate different audiences about our approach to safety. This is an opportunity to learn and grow your communications skills as you focus on strengthening TikTok's brand globally.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Create blog posts, media pitches, fact sheets, social media copy, and launch materials to amplify announcements and initiatives that build trust in TikTok's work on issues related to safety and civility, including hate speech and hateful behaviour, violent extremism, and human exploitation.
- Be a strategic partner to cross-functional teams to support ongoing transparency efforts as a way to build trust in our approach to safety. Lead and execute communications related to voluntary and regulatory reporting.
- Work directly with reporters to handle reactive issues and securing coverage for proactive story-telling.
- Work collaboratively with Public Policy, Trust and Safety, Legal and other teams to find proactive opportunities for positive storytelling about TikTok's efforts in safety and civility.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of how industry and platform issues are discussed by different groups, including the media, policymakers, civil society, academics and NGOs.
- Help train and advise spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, press conferences, and presentations.
- Travel as needed to support the team and be willing to work flexible hours when needed.
