WM New Zealand is seeking a motivated Compliance Coordinator to join our Queenstown team, supporting HSEQ across Central Otago. The role ensures safety and environmental standards, maintains records, updates Work Instructions and risk registers, supports audits, develops site HSEQ plans, coordinates training, and collaborates with the onsite leadership to fix non-compliance while aligning with WMNZ systems. The ideal candidate has experience with HSEQ systems, audits and investigations, understands industrial environments, and demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills, plus MS Office proficiency, a current NZ drivers licence and Level 2 First Aid. Full internal training will be provided. This is permanent full-time, 40 hours, Mon-Fri 7 to 5, Queenstown based but working across Central Otago. We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to join our team based in Queenstown but operating throughout central Otago
This role plays a vital part in supporting site compliance with employee engagement and support, contractor pre-qualification and monitoring, legislative knowledge and understanding, and the implementation of the WMNZ’s HSEQ Management System. The role also supports the day-to-day operations of the site.
You'll help ensure safety and environmental standards are upheld and that all reporting and documentation meet regulatory and internal requirements. Most importantly you will support a stable team to go home safely each day.
