Colas Canada’s Miller Group is seeking a Concrete Superintendent for a full time onsite role in Dartmouth. You’ll lead concrete operations from removal and grading to machine poured curb, gutter and flatwork, ensuring on time delivery, budget discipline and the highest quality while championing safety. You’ll collaborate with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and landowners and mentor forepersons across multiple crews. Daily duties include planning sequencing, field coordination, equipment and labor scheduling, and cost management while upholding Miller’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies. Requirements: 10+ years in road construction with flatwork and machine pouring, HRM experience a plus, strong Microsoft Office skills, proven leadership and communication, ability to juggle priorities. No two days are the same as a Concrete Superintendent. You’ll start your morning by meeting with forepersons and crews to review safety priorities, schedules, and project goals before heading into the field. Throughout the day, you'll oversee concrete operations, from removals and grading to machine-poured curb, gutter, sidewalks, and other flatwork, ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and landowners while supporting and mentoring your team, solving challenges in real time, and keeping operations running smoothly across multiple crews and job sites.
