Purpose

  • The Construction Quality Engineer is reponsible for the implementation of quality standards during construction activities, driving compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements to deliver safe and reliable Oil & Gas facilities.

Responsibilities

  • You oversee construction quality activities, ensuring alignment with quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and project requirements.
  • You coordinate inspections, tests, and verifications with construction teams, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
  • You identify and manage non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and documented.
  • You support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and construction method statements.
  • You contribute to contractor quality performance assessments and proactively support improvements.
  • You maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality documentation to support traceability and final project dossiers.
  • You participate in audits and reviews to verify compliance with quality assurance systems and regulatory standards.
  • You promote a quality culture within the site construction teams, reinforcing expectations through coaching and day-to-day interactions

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Multilingual: Proficiency in additional languages is beneficial, especially for international projects with diverse teams.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality management within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001), welding, NDT, and materials inspection. Certification in quality (e.g., CSWIP, API, or equivalent) is a plus.
