NMC Healthcare in Dubai seeks a Consultant Family Medicine to deliver outpatient and emergency care, conduct executive health examinations, order diagnostics, prescribe therapies and vaccines, immunize patients, maintain records, refer to specialists, and participate in development. Ideal candidates hold graduation from an approved medical school with internship and residency, certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Royal College of Physicians (or equivalent), at least five years’ practice as a Family Medicine Specialist with two years licensed, and a DHA license to practice in Dubai; strong English is essential and Arabic is a plus. Provides medical services to patients to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems, according to approved procedures as part of an integrated program of curative and preventive services. Conducts out-patient medical consultations in the clinics by appointment and follow-up on medical problems as needed.

  1. Performs the professional duties of a Specialist Family Medicine in Emergency room and Emergency clinic adherence to the Delineation of Privileges depending on the efficiency and skills of the particular individual.

    1. Administers Executive Health Program examinations on a regular basis.

    2. Orders diagnostic laboratory and X-ray examinations, determining the diagnosis and prescribing applicable therapy and taking the necessary preventive medicine.

    3. Reviews journals and textbooks in order to keep current on latest techniques, procedures and therapy.

    4. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical  care   

    5. To treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.   

    6. Immunize patients.

    7. Prescribe treatments or therapies.

    8. Prescribe medications

    9. Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports,    and   examination results. Collect medical information from patients, family members other medical professionals. Record patient medical histories.

    10. Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.

    11. Participates in continuing in-service training programmers, physician’s conferences.

  1. Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of        Residency; certification by the American Board of Internal medicine or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or its equivalent).

    1. At least five (3) years of practice as a Specialist Family Medicine with two years as a licensed    specialist.

    2. Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.

    3. Must be highly skilled in the particular field of practice, with mature clinical judgment and ability to provide professional leadership. He / she must have a thorough knowledge of Medical Department policies and procedures with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.

    4. Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice Family Medicine in Dubai, UAE.

    5. Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients &    families.
