Remote friendly (Paris, FR)
Worldwide

Riot, a product-first team dedicated to growing cybersecurity culture, is seeking a Content Manager to join the Paris-based squad on a hybrid, full-time basis. The company built a platform that delivers chat-based 4-minute courses to help employees build safe habits, followed by safe phishing simulations to practice recognizing threats. Since its launch in 2020, Riot has raised 45 million dollars from notable investors such as Y Combinator, Left Lane, Base10, Funders Club and First Capital, and today protects more than 2,000,000 employees across more than 2,000 companies, including Intercom, Deel and Deezer. Cybersecurity touches everyone every day, and Riot aims to fix the culture problem by giving brands a clear voice and a creative identity.

The Content Manager will be part of the Brand team, reporting to the Brand Director. The role centers on humanising the Riot story and shaping how the brand conversations unfold. If you believe a cybersecurity brand can have a distinct point of view and a creative personality, this one is tailor-made for you.

Location-wise, this is an on-site role in Paris with a hybrid twist: up to two days of remote work each month. The team values hands-on work, collaboration, and delivering polished work that reinforces Riot’s mission to improve security culture worldwide.

Mornings in the content studio

Your daily work starts with turning Riot’s strategic aims into concrete, channel-specific plans that span the website, LinkedIn, YouTube and beyond. You’ll shape how Riot speaks across touchpoints, aligning various formats like blog posts, landing pages, use cases, social content and scripts for video. A core part of the job is driving the website’s growth through SEO-informed content and initiatives such as webinars and market-based client stories, all while ensuring Riot’s voice stays consistent across markets. You’ll also help Benjamin cultivate a voice that positions him as a leading figure in ESPM and take charge of Riot’s company-page product releases. Another exciting remit is Riot Originals, the in-house short-form fiction series dramatizing real cyberattack vectors; you’ll own the scripting, the production pipeline, and how the stories reach audiences on social.

In this role you’ll set up scalable workflows that leverage AI tools, coordinating with agencies or freelancers when needed. You’ll monitor how content performs using SEMrush and Google Analytics, and you’ll be quick to adjust when something isn’t moving the needle. Finally, you’ll ensure Riot’s content works for international audiences by keeping English at the core while making it ready for multilingual expansion.

The hiring path includes a screening call with Jessica, Riot’s Talent Acquisition Manager, a manager interview with Brand Director Julien, an onsite case study interview with Julien and Riot’s Founder Ben, and a final cultural-fit chat with a team member. It’s a process built to understand how you think, create and collaborate in real projects.

The must-haves and the nice-to-haves

Riot is looking for a candidate with a strong, cross-channel background and a practical approach to content that moves audiences and supports business goals. Here’s how the team describes the core requirements, reworded for clarity.

  • At least four years of hands-on experience in content, digital marketing, or creative roles, ideally with time spent at a comms/digital/advertising agency before joining a startup
  • A natural with AI tools: you rely on them daily to speed up production and remove bottlenecks, not as a gimmick
  • Comfort across multiple channels: you can own website copy, social content and video without feeling confined to a single format
  • A video-first mindset: you understand how to work with video, whether you produce, edit, or provide strong direction
  • Strong taste and art direction sense that fits a premium, modern brand aesthetic
  • Data-aware skills: you know the basics of SEO, content analytics and performance tracking
  • Autonomous and organized: you can manage a content calendar, coordinate external partners, and ship consistently without hand-holding
  • A bonus: experience with offline/OOH campaigns or paid media is a strong plus
  • You don’t need to be a cybersecurity expert, but you should be genuinely motivated by the mission
  • Professional proficiency in English and native fluency in French
  • Based in Paris or willing to relocate

The nuts and bolts of the role

The position sits in a team that values practical results and a clear point of view. The hybrid setup means you’ll work from Riot’s Paris hub most days, with occasional flexibility toward remote work, and you’ll be part of a culture that emphasises collaboration and high standards. Riot makes a point of a welcoming, inclusive environment and notes that diversity drives innovation and inclusion fosters belonging. The company welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and experiences, and the team stresses that this role is anchored in real work and real impact.

Tips for applicants

Lead with your cross-channel storytelling successes. In your resume and portfolio, place your most relevant work, especially anything that shows you built a voice across website, social and video, and highlight concrete results from campaigns or initiatives that grew traffic, engagement or conversions.

Show how you prove your must-haves. Provide examples of AI-powered workflows that cut production time, share a sample content calendar you owned, and point to SEO, analytics or paid-media results that demonstrate you can measure impact and iterate.

Be ready for the interview and bring Riot Originals into focus. Expect to discuss how you’d script and shepherd short-form fiction or other in-house formats, what your production approach would be, and how you’d coordinate with the Brand Director and Founder on product releases and speaking roles for Benjamin.

Ask a sharp question that ties to the role’s mission. For instance, you could ask how Riot defines success for its content in driving cybersecurity awareness, or how the team balances in-house production with any external partners to scale content across markets.

Finally, show you’re aligned with the mission and culture. You don’t need cybersecurity expertise to apply, but you should convey genuine passion for making security become part of everyday work, and you should be ready to relocate to Paris or already be based there.
