Australian Trade Training College is seeking a trade qualified Cookery Assessor to conduct Job Ready workplace assessments as we extend our trades recognition services into Western Australia from 30 March 2026. This contract role is onsite in Perth and ideal for an assessor seeking to supplement income, with assessments available on weekends or outside ordinary hours. Key requirements include a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Assessor Skillset, reliable vehicle and licence, own laptop, and the ability to write timely, detailed assessment reports. Public Indemnity insurance up to $10 million or willingness to obtain it is preferred, and strong communication with participants who have English as a second language. The Australian Trade Training College is seeking a trade qualified Cookery Assessor to conduct Job Ready assessments with participants in their workplace. 

As an established RTO delivering Trade Recognition programs based in Queensland we are extending our Trades Recognition assessment services into Western Australia as of 30 March 2026. 

If you are passionate about the Hospitality industry and recognising the knowledge and skills development of participants who have previously gained the Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery qualification, this is an opportunity for you to be an important part of their journey to permanent residency. 

This position would be best suited to an Assessor who wishes to supplement their current income.  Assessments can be completed at weekends or out of ordinary hours. 

What to bring: 

  • Australian trade qualification in Commercial Cookery – Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery - required 
  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Or Assessor Skillset - required 
  • Previous training and assessment history –desirable 
  • Reliable vehicle and current drivers licence - required 
  • Ability to work within timelines 
  • Public Indemnity insurance up to $10million (If you do not have it, you must be willing to obtain it) 
  • Attention to detail and ability to write applicant assessment reports 
  • The ability to effectively communicate with participants who have English as a second language 
  • A can-do attitude 
  • Your own laptop
