Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Contract Engineer to manage contractual and commercial activities for infrastructure and construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with FIDIC contracts, subcontract administration, claims, variations, EOT, and contractual correspondence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer main contracts in accordance with FIDIC and project requirements.

  • Review contract documents, specifications, BOQs, and contractual conditions.

  • Prepare and manage contractual notices, claims, variations, and EOT submissions.

  • Draft and review contractual correspondence with Employers, Engineers, Consultants, and subcontractors.

  • Prepare, review, and administer subcontract agreements and amendments.

  • Monitor contractual obligations, risks, entitlements, and deadlines.

  • Review subcontractor claims, variations, and commercial matters.

  • Support final accounts, payment matters, and dispute resolution.

  • Maintain contractual registers, records, and claims documentation.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, QS, Planning, Procurement, and Technical teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

  • 7–10 years of relevant construction/contracts experience.

  • 3–5+ years of UAE/GCC experience, preferably in infrastructure projects.

  • Strong practical knowledge of FIDIC, particularly the 1999 Red Book.

  • Experience in subcontract administration, claims, variations, EOT, and contractual notices.

  • Good understanding of BOQs, rates, payments, and final accounts.

  • Strong written and spoken English.

  • Excellent contractual, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
