We are a team of skilled horticulturists, sports turf and landscape specialists, and certified arborists who maintain and enhance outdoor spaces across our communities. From parks, reserves, playgrounds, cemeteries and sports fields, our open spaces teams keep environments safe, clean and beautiful.

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead out Waikato Greenspace contracts. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering contract outcomes, optimising resources, managing performance and driving strong client relationships, all while contributing to a One Downer approach.

You’re a confident leader with a strong track record of delivering contract outcomes and managing teams, resources and performance. You balance commercial thinking with operational delivery, and bring a proactive, collaborative approach with a strong focus on safety and results.

You’ll also have: 

  • Relevant Contract/Project Management experience or qualification
  • Experience in the Greenspace sector (advantageous)
  • Proven ability to deliver contract outcomes, including financial, operational and performance targets
  • Leadership experience managing teams and driving a high-performance culture
  • Strong commercial acumen, including management of budgets, resources and return on investment
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong commitment to Zero Harm
