WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
As a newly standalone business, we are also adapting our Controlling organization with a strong focus on value creation. As Controlling Manager – Value & Cost Controlling, you will build and lead a team that ensures financial transparency, drives performance management, and supports value-oriented steering across our global business.
Your team owns three key areas: functional cost controlling, the financial steering of the company's value creation initiatives, and the controlling of our Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs) and other external service providers during the first phase of our standalone journey. As the direct finance partner for senior management on all cost and value creation topics, you play a key role in achieving the company's financial targets.
- In your new role, you lead and develop the Value & Cost Controlling team, foster a collaborative, business-partner-oriented culture, and ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and decision-relevant financial insights to senior management.

- In addition, you oversee the financial steering of value creation initiatives, ensuring transparency on the financial impact, milestones, and progress of the company’s strategic initiatives portfolio and providing management with clear insights into status, risks, and opportunities.
- Furthermore, you steer the controlling of all Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs) and other external service providers, ensuring transparency on scope, costs, service levels, and timelines while supporting a smooth and timely transition into the target setup; always in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- You design and implement a robust performance management framework, including KPI definition, target setting, variance analysis, and continuous monitoring of profitability and efficiency initiatives, and you play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles, ensuring consistent alignment between corporate strategy, financial planning, and execution.
- Last but not least, you partner closely with finance leadership, business units, and operational functions to identify performance improvement opportunities, support strategic and operational targets, and drive the standardization, automation, and digitalization of controlling processes to enable data-driven decision-making.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- university degree in finance, controlling, business administration, economics, or a related field; CFA or MBA is an advantage
- 8–10+ years of professional experience in controlling, FP&A, or performance management within a multinational corporation, including several years in a leadership role
- strong analytical background, ideally complemented by experience in strategy, corporate or business development
- proven track record in cost controlling, profitability steering, and performance improvement; experience in service agreements or shared services controlling is a plus, as well as experience in the chemicals industry or in business transitions
- strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
- proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, BI and planning tools such as SAC, Power BI, or Anaplan, as well as advanced MS Office skills
- very good language skills in English
