Position Statement:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage both general accounting and tax accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international accounting standards, with a proven ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Position Summary:

·                  General Accounting:

·                  Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

·                  Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and EAS.

·                  Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

·                  Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

·                  Ensuring that PTP invoices are correctly posted

·                  Running supplier payment runs and checking supporting information

·                  Performing reconciliations to supplier statements of account

·                  Performing balance sheet reconciliations

·                  Take charge of specific month-end activity processes

·                  Maintain Fixed Cost Register and ensure that this is a full and accurate reflection of all contracts in place

·                  Preparation of the VAT reconciliation and VAT return

·                  Ensure proper internal controls are in place and adhered to.

·                  Other tasks as required by business operations

·                  Preparation of payroll

Qualifications

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

                          Organised and ready to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

                          Inquisitive by nature - willing to learn and ready to challenge the process

                          Ability to work cohesively with others, both in the office and remotely with hotel Team Members

                          Ability to learn multiple systems to provide support, therefore must be willing to accept new challenges

                          Accounting knowledge, in particular Accounts Payable, month-end activities, accounts receivable and Payroll

 

Required Qualifications

                          Minimum Education: Accounting qualification

                          Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in a Finance team

                          Good English language skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

                          Education: University graduate and/or accounting bachelor

                          Preferred Experience: 4 years in a hotel Finance team

                          Systems knowledge: Navision, DocuWare, Birchstreet, Oasys

                          Good Arabic language skills
