Cost Controller at Civmec Construction & Engineering is a full-time, onsite role based at the Henderson Head Office that supports the Nelson Point Port Hedland PDP2 civil works package. You will manage supplier requisitions and purchase orders, audit procurement activities, monitor insurance and securities, maintain the project budget and cost code structure, track claims and invoicing, and lead cost forecasts for labour, plant and equipment. The ideal candidate holds a tertiary qualification in Finance or related field, has mining or construction sector experience, understands revenue and budgeting, and offers strong Excel and autonomous working skills. The scope includes civil and structural works associated with the new Car Dumper 6, along with supporting civil infrastructure required for the broader Port Debottlenecking Project Phase 2 (PDP2).
We are seeking a detail oriented, analytical, and commercially focused Cost Controller to support the project team and ensure accurate cost management across this large scale execution phase. This role will play a key part in monitoring project performance, maintaining cost integrity, and supporting effective decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.
This position operates in our Henderson Head Office.
In this role, you will support all project cost‑control activities, working closely with project leaders and subcontractors to monitor expenditure, maintain accurate cost records, track commitments, and ensure compliance with financial processes. Strong attention to detail and analytical capability will be essential in this fast‑paced environment.
